Hello! I’m Tiffany
Let me tell you about my design journey
I’ve always had a passion for art and design and I've been working in the fashion industry for 19 years. While working in the fashion industry I held positions as a Senior Designer, CAD artist and Technical Designer. The skills I’ve gained over the years by working in the fashion industry such as creating designs in Illustrator, Photoshop, Firefly, Gemini, creating trend/mood boards, tech packs, following license guidelines from their style/branding guide, creating full repeat prints and graphics. With my knowledge in design it was easy to transition into creating high fidelity UI designs.
What I find appealing about UX design?
The tech aspect of course! Being able to design in an industry that deals with tech and still be creative is a plus, which is one of the reasons why I wanted to study UX design. Even though I'm familiar with visual design based on my creative background, I wanted to learn UX and be more familiar with the analytical side. While attending Design Lab it was interesting to learn about task/user flows, empathy, persona’s and testing as well as the visual side.
What I find appealing about fashion design?
There is inspiration all around and your mind never stops creating. It’s fun to create new trends and play around with graphics, prints and fabrics. I love to go through the journey of creating a product from start to finish and being able to walk through a store and see a design I’ve created. It’s a very rewarding feeling.
